Fattoria Paradiso, Bertinoro, Italy
Piero Valdiserra - September 7, 2008

Fattoria Paradiso - BertinoroThere is a lot of everything at the Fattoria Paradiso (Paradise Farm) of Capocolle di Bertinoro, in the province of Forlī-Cesena, in the heart of the Romagna side of the Emilia Romagna region of Italy.

A lot of history, to begin with. Probably of Roman origins, the current architectural structure was known as Castello Ugarte Lovatelli (Ugarte Lovatelli Family Castle) in Renaissance times, and remained in the hands of the noble family until the 19th century, when it was purchased by the Pezzi family, who owns it to this day. During the 1900s, the ancient residence of Capocolle hosted many important artists, authors, politicians, theater and movie actors, becoming the de facto Romagna's salotto culturale (cultural hall).
