Welcome to
VOLUME VIII,
NUMBER 7 of Wine News, the e-Letter from the WineCountry.IT network. (Would you
rather see the e-Letter on your favorite browser? Use
this link. Usa il link seguente se vuoi leggere
le News in italiano).
Many of you will read this while on vacation, especially those among our readers who live in Italy, where production and business in general come to an almost complete standstill in August, with a peak on ferragosto (August 15), as the Italian movie Pranzo di Ferragosto, which I reviewed last month, shows.
Here in California I keep busy publishing recipes on the re-designed Journals and Journeys web site. Check out the latest recipes published below.
We have expanded Journals and Journeys, added a wine section and launched the Italian Wine Club to make it easier for our US readers to pair the recipes published with the Italian wines that we suggest.
For a limited time we offer the opportunity to our e-Letter subscribers residing in the US the opportunity to order wines from our portfolio at a 50% discount, by signing up for the Italian Wine Club.
Without further delay I'll let you get to the articles below. Have a good summer and get ready for the upcoming harvest,
Loris Scagliarini, WineCountry.IT President |

The Commercial Farm and Country Inn Buccia Nera is a family run Tuscan estate with a long tradition, but with a young and innovative spirit, thanks to sisters, Alessia and Anastasia, who represent the family's younger generation, and took over the management in 2004.
The Tenuta di Campriano (Campriano Farm) was bought in the early 1900s, and since then vine and olive cultivation, as well as the production of wine and extra virgin olive oil, have been the at the center of the family's commercial business.
