The tenth Italian Flavor Forum, organized on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at the Golden Gate Yacht Club of San Francisco, which was dedicated in particular to the Centellino Areadivino, was particularly satisfying. The positive outcome was in part due to the presence at the show of the owner and general manager of Table Top, the Tuscan company which created the Centellino Areadivino, as well as Joe Fiorino, managing partner of Fiorino Italian Imports, L.L.C., which distributes the Centellino in the US, with the exception of California, where WineCountry.IT distributes directly.
Afraid that we might get bored, we are already working at another event to be held in January at the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco, thus, technically, the next trade show will be held on Italian territory.
In the meantime, we offer a variety of articles concerning Italian wine, food and lifestyle.
Virtually raising a stem glass filled with a delicious Italian sparkling wine to toast to the approaching 2009, WineCountry.IT editors whish happy holiday to all subscribers, who follow us month after month.

Story of a Friendship |
| |
It's a winter night. Inside a wood and glass house by the sea, not far from Capo Passero, Sicily. Five friends, sitting around a table, watch the big waves swollen by the sirocco wind while lazily savoring a Nero d'Avola wine. Chatting quietly, the five friends let their minds wander, fantasizing about a wine which would be able to express the nature and culture of this corner of Trinacria (ancient name of Sicily). A wine which grasps and communicates the emotion which never fails to overcome the visitor who finds himself in this part of the island with open eyes and the open heart. This wine would narrate the complex beauty of this corner of land.

In Russia Wine Speaks Italian |
| |
Certainly Brunello and Barolo, but also Amarone, Nero d'Avola and overall, sparklers, which have left the French Champagne in the dust, are all gaining momentum in Russia. Additionally, the consumption of Italian wines continues to increase. These were some of the observations heard in Moscow during the 2008 Interdrink, the Alcoholic Beverage Trade Show which took place in the Russian capital city from the 5th to the 7th of November.
