The young survivor of Indian Ocean tsunami whose picture we circulated in our previous message has been identified as Sophia M. (surname omitted here for reasons of privacy) and has already returned to her home country (Germany).
She is 10 years old, able to speak and has not lost her memory. Regrettably, her parents, Norbert and Rosé M. are still listed as missing.
Please Note: I apologize for my momentary memory lapse that incorrecty placed Phuket in Indonesia, not in Thailand. I wrote the appeal and posted it without submitting it first to to our editor. Having visited Thailand and Phuket itself in the past, I am ashamed of the error.
