Course of Applied Enology
'The Wine : From the Soil to the Glass' Staff Writer - October 5, 2005
The course 'Il vino: dalla terra al calice' ('The Wine : From the Soil to the Glass'), takes place for the fourth time from October to December 2005, with professors from the Enology School of Milan and Florence Universities.
The course is supported by the Ministry of Production, and is directed to small and medium vitivinicolture entrepreneurs, as well as to the dedicated, curious person who wants to learn for passion and to improve his or her knowledge of wine.
The course includes 11 weekday evening lessons, in addition to a weekend dedicated to hands-on training fuori porta (literally: 'outdoor', referred to the ancient doors to the city in Medieval times, when the inner Milan was enclose by fortified walls). The next courses are scheduled in Milan, Florence and Rome.
The course is limited to a maximum of 35 students.
