The large number of visitors underscored the theme of the convention, or the need for synergy between promotion of local tourism and typical artisanal products. During the meeting the creation of 'Strade dell'Artigianato e del Gusto', or 'Atisanat and Flavor Roads', to re-discover the typical local products and promote them on national and international markets.
The CNA Alimentare di Imperia, which was present with a booth dedicated to the organization activities, struck a collaboration with Asti based Tecnohosting Srl, company offering marketing and consultation to enterprises which has experience in promoting products from Liguria.
"I believe that it's truly important to offer our associates promotional services outside the region," said Sarah Pissarello, President of the Unione Alimentare CNA provinciale (provincial chapter of the food department of the CNA association.) "The singularity and uniqueness of atisanal production is especially needed because of the current global market, which tend to annihilation differences while promoting uniformity (flatness?) of flavor. It's important to showcase the quality and value produced by small artisan enterprises, thus we must leverage the marketing power allowed by the Internet."
"Thanks to the agreement reached with Tecnohosting," said Sarah Pissarello, "our associates will be featured on an Italian site dedicated to the quality wine and food specialties of Italy, including photographs and written introduction for each enterprise (www.gustoegusti.it)".
"The centerpiece of the promotion of a specific area," declared Giorgio Borello, general director of Tecnohosting, "is represented by the local artisanal activities and the local wine and food, and our portal is set to do exactly that. Partnering with the CNA Imperia is important and stimulating for our company, because of the quality of the local products and the ambitious goals."
