The event organized by Treviso chapter of the Unione Nazionale Pro Loco d'Italia (National Union of Italian Location's Promoters, or UNPLI Treviso) and the province of Treviso, in collaboration with the province of Venice, dedicated to promoting the typical radicchio rosso di Treviso IGP (Red radicchio from Treviso) and the traditional local gastronomy, this year celebrates its fifth annual event.

During the official presentation of the calendar of events for the 2010-2011 annual, it was announced that this year the web of local fairs would be expanded to include the 25th Festa del Radicchio Rosso di Dosson di Casiera (Festival of the Red Radicchio from Dosson di Casiera), organized by the Associazione Produttori Radicchio di Dosson (Association of Producers of Red Radicchio from Dosson). New to this year's annual is also the prestigious collaboration with the exhibition entitled Il Pittore e la Modella (The Painter and the Model), which takes place at Treviso's Ca' dei Carraresi. The collaboration was started to reunite different events organized simultaneously in the area, in order to emphasize the common cultural character of the shows. In addition, from the 7th to the 23rd of January, 2011, the restauranteurs members of the association A Tavola sul Cardo (Dinner Table on Cardoon) committed to featuring in their menus special entrees based exclusively on Radicchio Rosso di Treviso IGP.
There will be 12 events included in Fiori d'Inverno 2010, starting the 5th of November, 2010 at Rio San Martino di Scorzč, and ending on March 27, 2011, at Quinto di Treviso, involving various locations in the provinces of Treviso and Venice. The first annual Fiori d'Inverno took place in 2006 thanks to the Pro Loco del Centro Marca and became a yearly event in 2007 with the collaboration of UNPLI Treviso and the provincial administration of Treviso. The 2009 annual added the participation of the province of Venice.
