The event will start with a tasting seminar dedicated to trade professionals and journalists, and will end with recipes of the Neapolitan cuisine paired with sparkling wines form the TrentoDOC association. All 31 producers associated will be present and will pour their best wines.

Following the great success of last year's event, TrentoDOC returns to Naples. Monday, October 4, 2010, the Città del Gusto Gambero Rosso di Napoli (Naples chapter of the Red Prawn's City of Taste) will host 31 producers, including large sparkler producer estates and small, artisan family-run enterprises. The event offers an exclusive opportunity to taste various types of prized TrentoDOC Spumante, characterized by their typical freshness and unique perfumes.

The first part of the event includes a technical seminar starting at 7 PM, dedicated to professionals, but passionate wine lovers are welcome as well. During the seminar entitled 'Quando le Bollicine si Tingono di Rosa' ('When the Bubbly Blushes), Daniele Cernilli, director of the wine guide Vini d'Italia (Wines of Italy), published by Gambero Rosso (Red Prawn), will introduce the following nine sparkling rosés (blush).

  • Ferrari F.lli Lunelli – TrentoDOC Perlè Rosè
  • Letrari – TrentoDOC Rosè
  • Maso Martis – TrentoDOC Rosè

  • Pisoni – TrentoDOC Rosè
  • Revì – TrentoDOC Rosè
  • Rotari – Gruppo Mezzacorona – TrentoDOC Rosè
  • Zeni – TrentoDOC Maso Nero Rosè

Participation in the tasting is by reservation only.

The second part of the evening, from 8 PM to midnight, the great tasting party of all the products presented by the 31 producers member of the Istituto Trento DOC metodo classico (Trento DOC Institute [for the] Classic Method). The ambiance provided by unique, evocative sets skillfully suffused in low light, with soft jazz in the background, will be brightened by the finger food prepared by the Città del Gusto chefs, Nicola Miele (chef Gambero Rosso), and Michele Leo (chef at the Grande Hotel Angiolieri).

The event is open to the public. Entry tickets are €12 per person.
