Barcelona Tecnologías de la Alimentación (BTA, or Barcelona Food Technology) is one of Europe's most important trade fairs in the sector in terms of exhibition space, number of visitors, and variety of products presented. Through its three shows – Tecnoalimentaria, Tecnocárnica, and Ingretecno – the BTA offers technological solutions in machinery and intermediate food products, from ingredients to additives and more, to every sector of the food and beverage industry.
Producers, processors, distributors, importers and merchants of dairy products, fruits and vegetables, canned goods, fish and seafood, wine, spirits, soft drinks, mineral water, and oils, in short, every type of food and beverage, come to the BTA to find the technological solutions that meet their needs.
BTA & HISPACK
In 2009, BTA - Barcelona Food Technology - will be held simultaneously with HISPACK - the International Packaging Exhibition. Two leading events which target the same industry sectors, join forces to offer food and beverage professionals a complete selection of services to solve their production needs, from food processing equipment, to intermediate food products, containers, and packaging.
Thanks to the synergies with HISPACK, BTA 2009 becomes one of the three most important European trade fairs for the food technology sector, thus becoming a true international player. About one tenth of the expected 60,000 visitors, or around 6,000 food professionals, will arrive from abroad.
