Thursday, April 14, 2009, at 6:30pm, the first installment of the series of events entitled Vino d'Autore. The event took place at Villa Savonarola, in the city of Portici, in the Campania region, and included four wine tasting labs moderated by well known enologists, such as Vincenzo Mercurio, Maurizio De Simone, Sergio Romano, and Nicola Trabucco, among other activities.
Vino d'Autore is the first appointment in a series of events which will take place in several towns and cities of the Mount Vesuvius area, and will highlight local wines and other quality products.
There were 24 participating estates which represented various vitivinicultural zones of the Campania region, as detailed below.
