January: Trade Shows Galore

January will be a trade show busy month in San Francisco, California.
We start with the 34th Winter Fancy Food Show, which takes place from Monday, January 18, to Wednesday, January 20, 2009, at the Moscone Center, in downtown San Francisco. Here, among the other exhibitors, in the Italian pavilion, we will be present to support one of the wine producers associated with the Italian Flavor Consortium, the Romangia Società Cooperativa, with its excellent Sardinian wines.
Then, on Friday, January 22, at the Terra Gallery, at 511 Harrison Street, the event Benvenuto Brunello (Welcome Brunello), introducing the new releases – 2004 and 2003 Riserva – will take place. There we will be assisting another Italian Flavor Consortium associated producer, the Tenuta La Carlina, producer of the prized Brunello di Montalcino La Togata.
Consolato DiVino is a play on words which, whith slight spelling variations means Divine Consulate (Consolato Divino) or Wine Consulate (Consolato Di Vino).
As if this were not enough, we at WineCountry.IT are organizing the first ever Consolato DiVino 2009: a wine and extra virgin olive oil tasting and market, which includes the Table Top glassware line of products, including the amazing wine aerator Centellino Areadivino, held at the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco, in February. The invitation only event will open at 3PM for the trade and press, then from 5 to 7PM the event will be open to select consumers, typically, Italian businesspeople and managers living and working in the Bay area, and US opinion makers who love Italian wine, food and lifestyle.
