Because of the dramatic terror attack in Mumbay and subsequent alarm for possible attacks in New Delhi, the Indian leg of Vinitaly World Tour, planned for the 14th and 15th of January 2009, has been suspended and postponed to an undisclosed date in 2009.

Because of the understandable tension in India which, in addition to characterizing the Indian social life in the near future, will have unavoidable repercussions on the international commercial exchanges as well, Veronafiere decided to postpone the Indian stage of the 2009 Vinitaly World Tour. Veronafiere is the organizer of the original Italian Vinitaly, which lasts 5 days and takes place in Verona, Italy every spring, as well as the international Vinitaly.

Vinitaly World Tour 2009 will start January 29, and 30, with events in Miami and Palm Beach. It will continue then with the traditional legs of the tours, which will take Italian quality wines to Russia in May, then return to the US in october, before going on to Japan and China.
