Completed the Road Show of the Wine Salon 2003
A ten stop journey trough Italy to introduce and promote the Turin
trade show while gathering information from the professionals on the field.
The traveling show of Turin Wine Salon ended with the Bari meeting with the Apulia penologists and wine operators. In 10 such meetings the organizers brainstormed with representatives of public institutions, trade associations, producers, growers and media operators.
Francavilla al Mare, Ancona, S. Gimignano, Bologna, Palermo, Gradisca
d'Isonzo, Roma, Bolzano, Neples and Bari hosted
the road show that highlighted the events and program of the next Salon. This will allow the
participants
to best show their products and, in the present lame international market, maximize focused contacts with representative of countries that are just emerging to the trade of quality wine.
In fact, Turin's Wine Salon organizer invited buyers from Scandinavia,
The Balkan republics, the near future members of the EU and some republics from the former Soviet block.
During the meetings, the operators welcomed two conventions that will face distribution problems and pricing politics. The agenda is full of scheduled meetings, presentations and workshops.
At the coming show at the Lingotto Fiere, the updated versions of all the most prized trade guides that are published right around that time will be introduced. In addition, there will be special moments of dedicated to combining movies, sport, literature and fashion to wine and wine drinking.
But the Road Show was not a one way event. The organizers were active gathering input and requests from the producers who, in turn, truly appreciated the attention to the different local realities and contributed welcomed feedback for a better third edition of the Wine Salon. This event is unique in the panorama of wine shows organized in Italy because of the timing – at the end of grape harvesting – and the peculiar organization that provides a place for meeting and confrontation to producers and buyers alike.
The Wine Salon takes place from November 16 to November 19, 2003 at the Exposition Center of the Lingotto
Fiere
in Turin.
