A.S.T.R.ID, Il Gusto per la Tradizione

Because of the current state of recession of the world economy and the uncertainty which comes with it, in addition to moving the date to 2009, the event structure will be reviewed as well, giving more exposure and space to the various Consorzi di Tutela (Consortiums for the Protection) of Italian regional food products. In addition, two new collateral trade shows will be incorporated within the main event. The "Ristotech 2009", where information technology and technical innovation specific to restaurant management will be featured, will be hosted in in a space dedicated to equipment, tools and services. Another area will be dedicated to "Ristodesign", an exhibition of furniture and interior decoration accessories. Thus the event will include three independent trade shows, linked by a common thread targeting chefs, restauranteurs and other industry professionals from various parts of Italy.

Among the collateral activities there will be conventions, the awarding of the Premio A.S.T.R.ID Italia, a national competition reserved for emerging chefs under 35 years of age, and a fundraising dinner organized by the chefs of the association A.S.T.R.ID, Il Gusto per la Tradizione (A.S.T.R.ID, The taste of Tradition) to support the research promoted by the IRET foundation.

The complete program of "Più Gusto Italia 2008"(2009?) is currently defined and will be posted on the web site www.giulianobicchierai.eu. All request by exhibitors must be received no later than December 31, 2008, by the trade show organization.
