La Fabbrica dei Sapori

Booming closure for the Coda di Volpe Wine Festival at 'La Fabbrica dei Sapori…' (The Flavor Factory....) in Battipaglia, in the province of Salerno, in the Campania region, with guests Luigi Cremona, Nino Pascale, Elena Martusciello, Daniela Mastroberardino and Tommaso Luongo. Over 3,000 visitors participated in the event.

The Coda di Volpe (Fox Tail - local name for the native grape variety known also as Falerno, Durante and Coda di Pecora [Sheep Tail]) Wine Festival, an event created and promoted by La Fabbrica dei Sapori... in collaboration with Luciano Pignataro, held in Battipaglia from Tuesday, June 10, to Thursday, June 12, 2008, closed successfully on a high note.

At midnight, on Thursday, the event closed with a toast with all the participating wine producers, as well as Luigi Cremona, wine and food section head of the Italian travel organization Touring Club; Nino Pascale, president of the Campania chapter of Slow Food; Elena Martusciello, representative of the Campania chapter of Donne del Vino (women in Wine); Daniela Mastroberardino, president of the Campania chapter of the organization Movimento Turismo del Vino (Movement for Wine Tourism); and Tommaso Luongo, representative of the Naples chapter of AIS (Associazione Italian Sommelier, or Italian Association of Sommeliers), among others.

The three-day event highlighted once more how wine and food products, with their characteristics derived from specific terroir, are a fundamental resource for the Italian tourist industry.

The local TV station Telecolore produced six hours of live broadcast, which was available via satellite on channel 849 of SKY network as well. The broadcast featured the following guests:
