Day 10, Tuesday, February 23
I try to get some extra work done while Brigit goes down to the restaurant for her latte with double coffee and continental breakfast, so I get an espresso at the Fiera di Rimini bar before we sit down at our table once again for another day of one-to-one meetings with wine producers.

At around noon, our Italian marketing manager, Cristo Lepori, arrives from Rome. Since we leave tomorrow, Mr. Lepori will continue the meetings for us, as well as for distribution in Rome, which he does with his own company, SaporItalia.

Since we have fewer appointments today, we spend the second part of the afternoon on follow up with two interesting estates, Monte del Frá, Tenuta Lena di Mezzo, from Veneto, and Azienda Agricola e Agriturismo Garuti, from Emilia Romagna. In addition, we catch up to some producers with whom we already have a working relationship: Distillerie Mangilli from Friuli Venezia Giulia, Fattoria La Striscia, owned by Italian actress Ilaria Occhini from Tuscany, and Azienda Agricola Sarchese from Abruzzo.

At the end of the show, Lepori takes off with Antonino Sarchese, head of Azienda Agricola Sarchese, while Brigit and I return to the hotel for an early dinner and to pack our luggage, as tomorrow we'll leave fairly early in the morning.

There's something between Brigit and Holstein. In fact, away from home (Holstein Road) she could not resists having her picture taken with an Holstein cow statue, at Fiera di Rimini.

For dinner we go back to the Gatto Nero Ristorante Pizzeria, where, after a complimentary glass of local sparkling wine, Brigit and I share a huge Caprese con Prosciutto, which consists of a huge fresh mozzarella and a mountain of prosciutto, which we enjoy with the warn slices of pizza dough and excellent extra virgin olive oil. As a main entree Brigit orders Tagliatelle ai Funghi Porcini (Linguine with Porcini Mushroom Sauce), while I choose the Coda di Rospo al Pepe Verde (Angler Fish with Green Pepper), which comes with Patate Saltate al Rosmarino (Sauteed Potatoes with Rosemary) as side dish.

To drink we order a bottle of Verdicchio dei Colli di Jesi DOC by the Ghiffa winery, and when we ask the bill the waiter brings us a small bottle of Limoncello (Lemon liqueur) and two frozen glasses for us to help ourselves to a complimentary digestivo (digestive shot).
