Successfully concluded the convention "Il tappo di sughero: esperienze a confronto", or "The Cork: Comparison of Experiences". The meeting took place on February, 2004, in the Meeting Hall of the Collegio Ghislieri, in Piazza Ghislieri in Pavia, Italy. The panel saw the participation of many professionals, such as enologists, cork technicians and analysts, who contributed their professional experiences to help define the possible developments in controlling the quality of cork to be used in enology.
The convention was organized by:
- Camera di Commercio, Industria, Artigianato e Agricoltura di Pavia (Pavia Chember of Commerce)
- Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore – Istituto di Enologia e Ingegneria Alimentare di Piacenza (Piacenza School of Enology and Food Engineering – Catholic University of the Sacred Heart)
