Switzerland's Hess Group is expanding

The Switzerland-based Hess Group has acquired the remaining 50% share of Glen Carlou Winery from the Finlayson family estate, thus gaining total control over the South African company.

Winery director Walter Finlayson, and his son David, Glen Carlou's winemaker, will remain with the new company in the same positions.

With this last acquisition, the Hess Group is now present in three continents. In fact, the group recently purchased Australia's Peter Lehmann Wines and already owns The Hess Collection Winery in California, USA and Bodega Colomé in Argentina.
