SERRAMAZZONI – The new school year of the Scuola Regionale Alberghiera e di Ristorazione di Serramazzoni (Regional School for Hotel and Restaurant Management, Serramazzoni) has started.
The school year 2003-2004 starts with170 students onboard, or 170 young people with a job waiting for them at the end of the school season. As we well know, schooling is more than just theory and classroom exercises in fact, almost every month the school is invited to organize and manage events, gala dinners, conventions, seminars and more, all over Europe.
"From September 11 to 14," says Giuseppe Schipano, the school director, "we organized and managed the Emilia-Romagna Region specialty product booth at the Sana (Healthy) trade show in Bologna. Still in September we hosted the delegations of similar schools from Valencia, Spain, and Zedek, Hungary. On that occasion we signed an agreement protocol that paves the way to various collaborations and enogastronomic exchanges.
This week we are present at the Fiera Internazionale dell’Alimentazione (International Festival of Alimentation) in Valencia, Spain where we manage the specialty booth of products from the Modena Province and, at the same time, we are exchanging visits with the local Scuola Alberghiera e di Ristorazione.
On October 30, we'll be at Piane di Mocogno for the Symposium ‘Funghi & Ristorazione’ ('Mushrooms and Restaurant Management') as part of a collaboration with the Modena AUSL (Association of Local Health Units). The project aims to promote the maintenance and improvement of food quality and health.
November activities include the introduction of a book about typical and organic recipes, a trip to Hungary to promote exchanges with a country interested in hotel and restaurant management schooling Italian style, and an environmental convention at the Romolo Valli Theater in Reggio Emilia."
A busy start, we wish all students a fruitful and satisfying experience.
