This year, thanks to the increased collaboration between the two associates Movimento Turismo del Vino (Movement for Wine Tourism) and Città del Vino (Wine Cities), Friuli Venezia Giulia is organizing a series of events which will involve the whole region. The president of Movimento Turismo del Vino Fvg (the regional chapter of the Movement for Wine Tourism), Ms. Elda Felluga, and the Regional Coordinator of Città del Vino, Tiziano Venturini, have expanded the synergistic ties between the two associations, tightening the collaboration between wine producing estates and local administrations.

The party starts the magical St. Lawrence night, with tasting of prestigious wines in evocative localities. Assisted by wine experts and professional sommeliers, who will pour different types of wine from the eight DOC zone in Friuli Venezia Giulia, the public will be the protagonist of a journey in the wine world under starry skies. In addition to spreading wine culture and promoting enotourism, Calici di Stelle's objective is to expose local artistic expressions, by organizing musical concerts and theater performances.

The official event kit, including a crystal custom-printed goblet and the bib holder for the glass, will cost €5 and will include five tastings. Part of the income will go to charity. The proceeds from Buttrio, Gorizia, Lignano, Palmanova and Povoletto will contribute the association Sport Cultura Solidarietà (Sport, Culture, Solidarity), while the Grado event will benefit the local church.

Buttrio: Tasting of the precious Colli di Buttrio wines, from 7:30 to midnight of August 10, and 11. Interesting musical program inside the luxurious park of Toppo Florio Villa.Calici di Stelle is a series of yearly events organized by Movimento Turismo del Vino (Movement for Wine Tourism) and Città del Vino (Wine Cities) all over Italy. In Friuli Venezia Giulia the events are organized in collaboration with the regional and Udine administrations, Banca di Cividale, cooperative Vitis Rauscedo and thanks to the support of VivaRadio radio station, Prosciutterie Dok Dall'Ava, Latterie Friulane, Paradiso mineral water, and Madimer. - Corno di Rosazzo: Tasting of wines from Corno di Rosazzo and local typical specialties. Concert of the Banda Vincenzo Bellini from Castel Umberto Catania, and traditional songs from the Corale Fogolar from Corno di Rosazzo and the Coro Alpino from Premariaccoresso. August 10 only, from 7:30PM to midnight, in Piazza Divisione Julia.
- Gorizia Castle: Friday, August 10, tasting at the Bottega del Vino and Corte dei Lanzi. Possibility of visiting the exhibition "LANDSCAPES: Art Journeys inside the Gorizia Castle."
Saturday 11, at the Teatro Tenda, live covers of Beatles songs, celebrating the 40th anniversary of Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album release. - Grado: August 10, and 11, from 7:30PM to midnight, at the seafront Nazario Sauro, virtual journey to discover the multiplicity of flavors and perfumes of the regional wines. On the seafront terrace the soundtrack will be provided by live piano music and song. Saturday, August 11, at 4:00PM, aerial show by the Frecce Tricolori (Italian counterpart of the US Blue Angels).
- Latisana: From 7:30PM to midnight of August 10 and 11, wine tasting, musical happenings, and traditional food tasting in downtown's via Rocca. Along the promenade on the river's dyke, by the Gaspari Park, members of the Circolo Astrofili from Talmassons, will set up telescopes to allow the public to observe the falling starts.
- Beach Terrace at Lignano Sabbiadoro: Tasting of the wines from producers associated to the Movimento Turismo del Vino – FVG (regional chapter of the Movement for Wine Tourism), on August 10 and 11, from 7:30PM to midnight. Music and star gazing on the beautiful terrace overlooking the ocean.
- Palmanova: Tasting of regional wines at the Loggia del Comune in Piazza Grande (Big Square), from 7:30PM to midnight of August 10 and 11. Exhibition of satirical drawings entitled Spirito di Vino (Spirit of Wine). Friday Argentinean Tango with Carlos Guadalupe and the group Punto Tango. Saturday, Renaissance choreography enacted by the Gruppo Storico Città di Palmanova.
- Povoletto: Saturday, August 11, from 7:30PM to midnight, at the former sport field of Savorgnano del Torre, wine tasting and star gazing with a group of star aficionado members of the association AFAM (Friuli Association of Astrology and Meteorology) from Remanzacco, who will set up telescopes available to the public.
