Bookmark and ShareThe Commercial Farm and Country Inn Buccia Nera is a family run Tuscan estate with a long tradition, but a young and innovative spirit, thanks to sisters, Alessia and Anastasia, who represent the family's younger generation, and took over the business management in 2004.

Buccia Nera

The Tenuta di Campriano (Campriano Farm) was bought in the early 1900s, and since then vine and olive cultivation, as well as the production of wine and extra virgin olive oil, have been the at the center of the family's commercial business. In 2004, with the arrival of Alessia and Anastasia at the head of the estate, the new winery for the vinification and ageing of the wine was inaugurated as well. From then on, the enterprise continued to grow, reaching important commercial results and market recognition.

Agriturismo (Country Inn)
The agriturismo apartments are completely furnished and accessorized, with functional kitchens which include a refrigerator with a small freezer, oven, china, silverware, frying pans, saucepans, salad bowls, glasses and independent heating system. Of course, linen for kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom are available as well.

In addition to having access to the common laundry with washer and iron, by paying a little extra, guests may have the apartment cleaned and linens changed upon request. During their stay, guests have free access to the organic vegetable garden and fruit orchard, and may use the common barbeque and the wood provided for it or for the chimney, without extra charge.

Upon arrival, guests will find one complimentary bottle of the estate produced wine in the apartment and, once a week, they have the opportunity of participating in a free tasting of all the estate products paired with local specialties such as cheeses, cold cuts and home made jams.

Azienda Agricola (Commercial Farm)
With advance reservations, it is possible to participate in guided tours of the vineyards and winery, during which the guide will explain cultivation methods and vinification processes utilized at the farm and winery. At the end of the tour, participants get to taste all the products of the commercial farm, which, in addition to wine and extra virgin olive oil, also include honey.

In September and October, the more passionate among wine lovers can take part in the harvest, which is done by hand to this day in order to preserve the best characteristics of the grapes, and assist in the pressing and vinification process. From October into November it is also possible to participate in the olive harvest and partake in the pressing and production of the olive oil, tasting the product just made at the end of the day. Briefly, these are mini hands-on courses for anyone interested in finding out how extra virgin olive oil and quality wines are produced.

Hunting for Game, Mushrooms and Truffles
From October to January it is possible to hunt pheasant, partridge, and wild ducks in the woods of the Ariminensis reservation, owned by the estate, or in nearby hunting reservations. In addition it is possible to participate in wild boar hunting raids with local hunting teams. At the end of each hunting expedition, participants can reserve to dine at the Case di Caccia (Hunting Homes) and eat the game caught that day.

In Spring and Fall it is possible to go hunting for the many varieties of wild mushrooms found in the nearby woods, or participate in guided excursions with expert tartufai (truffle searchers).

Buccia Nera

The Products
The line of products of the Azienda Agricola Buccia Nera include, among others, the white wine Donna Patrizia (Lady Patricia), a blend of Malvasia, Trebbiano and Grechetto grapes, the blush Sangiovese Rosato Toscana IGT, and red wines made mostly with 100% Sangiovese grapes, such as the Toscana IGT Camprianese and the Chianti DOCG Guarniente, or Sangiovese blended with Canaiolo Nero to produce the Chianti DOCG Sassocupo, or with Merlot to produce the excellent Super Tuscan, Amadio. The estate also produces the dessert wine Vin Santo (Holy Wine), a grappa liquor and two types of extra virgin olive oil of superior quality, along with a limited quantity of honey.
